The head of the holding Megapolis Group Konstantin Kuzin took part in the plenary session "Legprom - Сourse for the Development of the Consumer Sector" of the IV All-Russia Forum of Light Industry. The main topics of the forum, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, were key directions of the state policy in the field of support and development of the domestic light industry, export potential of the industry and promotion of goods in the local market.
During the plenary session, under the chairmanship of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, representatives of the authorities and business discussed issues of the global market of the light industry, the current general economic condition of the industry in the country and the tasks for 2018.
Opening the plenary session, the Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia stressed, that the forum allows bringing to the common denominator positions of the state and business on the issue of integrated development of light industry.
In particular, in his speech, the Minister noted the modernization of the industry. Leading enterprises are moving into new niches, setting up the production of high-tech fabrics and non-woven materials for the construction of houses and roads, for the needs of agriculture and automotive industry, medical and furniture industries.
"Within the eight months of this year, the volume of deliveries of light industry products abroad has increased by 15% compared to the previous year. To support this dynamic, the industry"s enterprises need to work even more closely with the Russian export center, which today implements a wide program of support for exporters, " Manturov said.
The forum ended with the ceremony of awarding the winners of the contest of manufacturers of light industry "TOP-10 of 2017". The Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov presented the award in the nomination "Home Robe" to Alexander Grozov, the head of TPK DM Textile (part of the holding Megapolis Group).
