On December, 10, Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, conducted the first Russian Quality Mark Awarding Ceremony.
The Quality Sign in the form of ‘K’ letter inscribed into a pentagon will soon appear on the packaging of DM Textile’s goods that have successfully passed laboratory tests of the Russian Quality System ANO. Roskachestvo was established by the Russian Government in cooperation with more than 20 industry, public and consumer’s associations. The organization has developed a special methodology for selection of Quality Mark applicants.
“Awarding the State Quality Mark highlights the start of full operation of the National Monitoring and Domestic Goods Quality Assurance System”, Denis Manturov stated at the ceremony. “It is much different from what it used to be in the USSR. We reconsidered our past experience paying attention to the most successful existing strategies of developed countries, and as a result we have developed a new Russian Quality System”.
Product goods testing was carried out all over the country. Test samples were not supplied by the manufacturers themselves, but purchased in retail stores by certified experts disguised as regular customers. Tests were carried out in 115 certified laboratories. Apart from testing the goods, Roskachestvo’s accountants analyzed technological processes on production sites and checked the share of Russian raw materials used in production.
Among the prizewinners the Quality Mark was also awarded to towels that are manufactured by DM Textile especially for Auchan retail group.
